FrankLuma Privacy Policy
Effective 4 October 2026
Local processing
FrankLuma processes video locally on your Mac. It does not upload your videos, audio, images or analysis results. It does not collect personal information, track usage, include advertising or use third-party analytics.
Files and storage
You choose which video files FrankLuma can open and where to save projects, exported videos or diagnostics through macOS file selection. Your source video is not modified. The app creates temporary processing files locally and removes export staging files after the operation finishes. Saved projects, exports and diagnostics remain in the locations you choose until you remove them.
Projects and recovery
Project files store editing settings, the source video path, a content fingerprint and a macOS bookmark for reopening that selected video. They do not contain the source video. Unsaved edits are checkpointed in the app’s local Application Support directory for crash recovery. Successful saves or deliberate session discard remove the corresponding checkpoint. Recovery copies kept for later remain until you recover, save or discard them. Nothing is sent to a server.
Device access
FrankLuma does not use your camera, microphone, Photos library, contacts or location. Audio is preserved from the video file you select; the app does not record audio.
Sharing and diagnostics
If you choose to share exported videos or diagnostic files with someone else, that sharing is your action and is outside FrankLuma's local processing. Diagnostics can include frame measurements and lighting settings. Shared project files can reveal the source filename/path and editing settings; another Mac may need you to relink the video.
